Toyota Europe has announced the introduction of a new trim-level on its Hilux pickup truck. Dubbed Invincible, the new grade can be ordered on both Active and Sport versions with either Extra Cab and Double Cab body styles.
The new trim level adds chrome accents, two-tone alloy wheels, a “sophisticated all black interior” with optional “Invincible” leather, and “Invincible” door badging. The truck can be ordered with either the 2.5-liter or the 3.0-liter diesel engine, manual or automatic transmissions and either two or four-wheel drive.

Available in eight exterior body colors, the Hilux Invincible will go on sale in Europe in the second half of 2013.

“Today, lifestyle sales are of growing importance to the pick-up market. Of the current DLX, DLX+, SR and SR+ Hilux model range, the range-topping SR+ versions represent over 40% of the mix in many of the leading markets. Now, in recognition of the pick-up's increasing importance to dual-usage customers who wish to combine power and dependability with greater comfort and style, the Hilux line-up is being extended to include a new, top-of-the-range, Invincible grade,” Toyota says in a statement.
