After the Toyota GT 86 was released, everyone said that it surpasses the amount of fun you can have from the Mazda MX-5 (Miata). And it really does if you’re not comparing it to a community-tuned BBR Turbo MX-5.
Yeah, for some reason, the guys over at EVO thought that it will be a brilliant idea to compare the GT 86 with a modified turbocharged BBR MX-5. The 86 was customized too, having some TRD enhancements, but it was lacking the most important piece ever for this comparison - a supercharger.
As a result, the GT 86 in the video is 70 hp less powerful than the MX-5. Still, it manages to cross the line only 2 seconds later than the Mazda out on the test track. Check it in the video bellow.
