Toyota took another big step forward with the redesigned Corolla model, which now really stands out from the pack, compared with the silver dull outgoing model.

Starting with the looks, the new Corolla’s design started from a blank sheet of paper, now coming with a more contemporary and fashionable design, dictated by Toyota’s new Keen Look and Under Priority design language. The compact sedan’s wheelbase also got stretched while its overhangs have been slightly shortened.

Next comes the interior, which also got a complete overhauling, coming with redesigned seats, completely new dashboard and steering wheel, as well as improved materials and new tech, like a new infotainment system, automatic air conditioning, Smart Key system with Push Button Start, leather-wrapped fully adjustable steering wheel, SofTex-trimmed heated front seats and more.

Despite the underpinnings of the new Corolla are basically the same as time-proven one from previous, the guys found it pretty pleasurable to drive. They were pretty surprised by the new CVT that can simulate seven speeds and makes the car feel more lively than a standard CVT.
