The back-to-basics Toyota GT 86 is now recreating the cult and hype its AE 86 grandfather raised back in the days of the drift pioneers.
With its simple and reliable mechanics, classic coupe shape and rear-wheel-drive fun factor, the GT 86 reunites diehard motorists all around the world, purists who enjoy an affordable, front engined rear-wheel-drive coupe made to be pushed around the bends.
One of the biggest meetings of such type happened at Spa in Belgium this year, where no less than 30 Toyota GT 86 owners gathered, bringing their new-age hachi roku rides for a drive in the woods and on the track.
