The wheels and especially the Prius-borrowed tires are an important part of the Toyota GT 86’s handling scheme. The sportscar doesn’t use super sticky tires, so that it allows its driver to drift it more easily. Nevertheless, there are owners who want to change this and today we’ve brought you a new example.
The red GT 86 you see in the adjacent images is wearing a set of custom rims coming from US developer Advance One Wheels. The coupe was gifted with ADV.1 5.01 wheels, which come in a size of 19x8.5-inch and are wrapped in Michelin Sport rubber.
The vehicle’s road connection is further tweaked via a KW V3+ coilover suspension. However, this is just half the story, as the 2.0-liter engine has also received a few tweaks.
The boxer powerplant now breaths through a HKS Racing Suction element and a HKS Legamax Premium Exhaust, which works with a custom Mid Pipe. The engine bay was also gifted with a Simota oil filter.
You can see the mods, as well as enjoy the new stance of the car, in the gallery below.
