Toyota Group is expecting that the exports of auto parts will surpass the $954 million estimated for this year and reach $1 billion in 2014.
The report is based on 2014 plans shared by each individual supplier, including TRP, Inc., Philippine Auto Components, Inc., Koyo Manufacturing Corp., Philippine HKR, Inc., Jeco Autoparts Philippines, Inc., and Technol Eight Philippines Corp.
The Toyota groups exported around $480 million by the first half of 2013 to countries like Thailand, Indonesia, India, South Africa, Pakistan, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Some of the parts exported include the G-Type manual transmission, R-Type manual and the constant velocity joint, all made by Toyota Autoparts Philippines, Inc.
