According to the managing director of Toyota Ghana Co. Ltd. Takahiko Tabayashi, the company is set to provide the durable Hino trucks on the local market.
“The purchase of a truck is not for pleasure ride but for business operations, this brings to mind the fact that in the consideration of truck purchase, durability should be the guiding principle, operational downtime which brings unplanned cost to truck owners should also be an issue that cannot be compromised.’’ stated Mr. Tabayashi at the official launch of the Hino Trucks on Hana at the Tema branch.
The new Hino 300 series truck comes with a powerful 260 hp engine delivering a constant 660 lb-ft of torque between 1,200 - 1,700 rpm and mated to an Allison automatic transmission. Being a Toyota family member, the truck also benefits from increased flexibility, comfort and safety standards both for passengers and pedestrians.
