Top Gear Now Has a Man Who Not Only Loves to Drift, But Also Knows How to Do It

The more gullible among us (or let's call ourselves "optimistic") really thought the new Top Gear could continue the success of the previous version without any hiccups, but our hopes were shattered on May 28 the moment Chris Evans opened his mouth. Which was essentially the first second of the episode.
However, it's not all gloomy for the revamped show as some of the new cast members have proven to be valuable additions. In fact, they're all great, which almost makes us wonder whether they are indeed good, or it's just Chris Evans' abysmal performance that puts them in a good favorable light.

Whatever the case, Top Gear did well to grab Matt LeBlac, Sabine Schmitz, Rory Reid or Chris Harris, as they provide the much-needed relief after the way too numerous scenes with Evans as a central character. They all bring something different to the show, and in the case of Chris Harris, that something is the sheer joy of driving a fast car.

We're not saying he is the only one who feels that while driving a Ferrari, for example, it's just that he's the best at letting it be seen. Jeremy Clarkson used to be Top Gear's person responsible for tire shredding, but while Jezza was arguably a better presenter, he was pretty poor at sliding a car around by comparison.

Harris, on the other hand, has extensive experience in the field. The story goes that the filming and editing crews made Clarkson look like he knew what he was doing when going sideways, when in fact he wasn't that much in control. The team definitely won't have that kind of problems with Harris.

Yesterday, Top Gear announced that, by popular request, Chris Harris' YouTube series will return in more or less the same format, only this time, they'll be exclusively available on Top Gear. And just in case we had forgotten what a Chris Harris Drives episode looked like, the producers also included a short reminder.
