For all intents and purposes, the 911 is Porsche’s identity. Despite the carmaker going the way of its competitors by launching a number of other models in recent years, the 911 will probably remain what Porsche is all about.
Launched in 1963, the 911 has passed through a number of generations, but unlike most other families of cars in the industry, it kept true to its original design, which it honors to this day, it kept its name, and constantly grew into the most popular rear-engined sports cars out there.

Every generation of the 911 brought something new to the table, or marked a major advancement from the preceding one. In the case of the 993, made from 1994 to 1998, that meant the final evolution of air-cooled engines in the range. The new model also had just 20 percent of its parts carried over from the 964, and all of the other changes that came with it make the 993 one of the best 911s ever made.

The car used at the time a naturally-aspirated flat 6 that cranked out different amounts of power, depending on specification. No matter the output, though, the engine produced it by burning fuel.

Not the same can be said about the engine in the gallery above. It’s not an engine per se, but a coffee machine made to look like one.

The company responsible for this is called Super Veloce, and it has been responsible for making ultra-expensive coffee machines shaped like car or airplane engines for years.

This build here is officially called RS Black Edition and costs a little over €10,000 ($11,000). It is based on the existing flat-six line of the company, only blacked out.

Made from “aerospace grade material” but also carbon fiber, it is extremely detailed, featuring the engine block, the cylinder heads and the cam covers, either in anodized satin black or jet black.

Super Veloce says the coffee machine has been made especially for Porsche fanatics, and plans to sell the model globally in a limited edition cprinsing only 993 units..
