Earlier today we dove into one of the hottest rumors regarding BMW’s future line-up, the one that claims a Z2 model is in the works. Until we get to see the front-wheel-drive roadster from the Bavarians, we’ll have to get over the current one, the E89 Z4 LCI.
Come to think of it, the Z4 is not a bad-looking car, no matter from what point of view you’re looking at it. It’s actually probably one of the best cars the Germans have designed in the last few years.

The interior is particularly interesting as it doesn’t follow the usual patter modern models do and seems to have a special look. The dash and instrument panel look different, with a new take on the climate controls and the CD player. Even the steering wheel looks a bit different than usual, reminding us of the Z8.

However, this particular car doesn’t have any added bits and pieces inside. It’s completely stock and even so, it’s looking great thanks to the aluminum trims and Red Coral leather.

On the outside, things have digressed from the way the Bimmer looked like when it left the assembly lines in Germany. The wheels were the first to go, being replaced by a set of Volk TE37SL rims together with a new KW V3+ suspension that combines a lower stance with a comfortable ride.

Up front, the bumper received a 3D Design front lip while round the back you’ll notice a Meisterschaft quad exhaust that completely changed the sound of the 2-liter turbocharged petrol engine under the bonnet.

Speaking of which, the sDrive20i is powered by a TwinPower turbo 2-liter 4-cylinder engine making 184 HP and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque that might not seem like much but they get the job done. Best of all, the Z4 is a hardtop so you’ll be able to use it both on sunny days and when the weather is not so favorable.
