There were a lot of voices commenting about the optional LED Intelligent Light System with Swarovski crystals on the recently-unveiled Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe (C217).
Most of them argued that since the Swarovski crystals don't bring any benefit to the way that the lights work, they are simply snobbish-looking and overly pretentious, some going as far as saying that they are kitschy.
Personally, we find the LED Daylight Running Lights from most Audis kitschy, but that is just an opinion, and you know what they say about opinions...
Getting back to the subject of this sparkling report, we recently found out about the Germany company Selected Jewels and their Mercedes-Benz “Golden Key”.
Made from solid gold (rose, white or yellow) plus platinum and featuring about 300 cut diamonds of 3.14 carat each, the Golden Key is probably a bit more expensive than the Swarovski crystal-embedded headlights option on the S-Class Coupe, but they most definitely should go hand in hand, don't you think?
