In a world where humans rely on technology to stay connected anywhere, anytime, outdoor enthusiasts who decide to adopt a mobile lifestyle need portable power solutions to keep them going even when exploring remote locations away from the power grid.
California-based portable energy firm Jackery understands better than anyone that electricity is a daily necessity and has come up with an innovative solution to cater to the needs of those who need power outdoors - a self-sufficient robot designed to produce clean energy by capturing sunlight.

Called the Solar Mars Bot, this innovative portable power station offers a glimpse into the future of renewable energy. It is equipped with several solar panels and unfolds like a Swiss Army Knife, with the solar panels rotating and extending to maximize sunlight absorption.

What strikes the most when seeing the Solar Mars Bot is its design. While most portable power stations are boxy and unmoving, Jackery's robot looks like a miniature car, and it even features self-driving technology. It also uses artificial intelligence, 4G sensors, laser radar, light sensors, and camera modules, allowing it to navigate autonomously to seek the best spots for solar power generation. This means it is savvy enough to adapt to different outdoor conditions. It's just like a smart sunflower on wheels.

"The robot operates like a sunflower," explains David Bai, Jackery's head of industrial design. "It can automatically track where the sunlight has the most power, and absorb the light with the most efficiency."

Thanks to its robust 5-kilowatt-hour battery that can store a significant amount of energy, enough to power a cabin for two to three days, the Solar Mars Bot is a great eco-friendly alternative to traditional gas-powered generators. It is designed to improve mobile living and outdoor life, and a wide array of ports, including different USB ports and a 4G module, enhances its usability by allowing it to charge numerous devices and tools at once.

Moreover, its ability to circumvent obstacles, handle different terrains, and find the sunniest locations makes it a versatile solution for various outdoor applications, from camping and road trips to outdoor events and off-grid living. The clean, renewable energy it harvests can be used to power various electronic devices and equipment in an eco-friendly manner.

For increased convenience, the four-wheeled robot comes with an accompanying app that owners can use to track and control it.

No details regarding the release date and pricing for the Solar Mars Bot have been disclosed, but Jackery has recently announced that its crawling power generator has won the TIME magazine's Best Inventions of 2023 award in the "Green Energy" category, highlighting the company's committed to providing green energy access to all.

Jackery, which has been around since 2012, is a pioneer in the portable energy industry. They launched the first outdoor portable power stations in 2016, but they are renowned globally for their innovative solutions, including solar generators, portable power stations, and solar panels.

The Solar Mars Bot, with its versatile design, high-performance battery, and various connection options, might revolutionize the portable power sector, providing a smart, sustainable solution for users' on-the-go power needs.
