The Mercedes-Benz CLA has arrived on Canadian shores as well, where it will sport the same version lineup as it will in the United States.
This means that the regular front wheel drive model is the only option currently available on the North American continent.
The situation will soon change, with the CLA 45 AMG arriving in showrooms in November and the CLA 250 with 4Matic all-wheel drive becoming available from 2014.
Until that happens, the Canadians from Autos got a ride in the front-driven Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 and the not-yet-launched in North America CLA 45 AMG, the only two versions of the sexy “baby CLS” which will be available during 2013 there.
Both variants have a two-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but the outputs are rather different. The CLA 250 has a not-too-shabby 211 hp (208 bhp) and 350 Nm (258 lb ft) of torque, while the hardcore CLA 45 AMG brings 360 (355 bhp) and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque to the table. Check out Autos' review of the two models to see how they stack up on Canadian roads.
