Motorists in the UK are limited to 70 mph (112 km/h), and US drivers are usually limited to 75 mph (120 km/h), when driving on highways. However, on a toll road close to the Texas I35, the speed limit has now been legally increased to 85 mph (136 km/h).
The Texas Transportation Commission has just approved the speed increase for a 41-mile (65 km) stretch of the I35 Texas 130, between Mustang Ridge's Austin suburb and Interstate 10 at Seguin. The move was made in order to lessen the ever-increasing level of traffic which was beginning to build up.

Now, opinions are split, regarding the change, with some people being joyful and relieved, with others criticizing it, saying it will increase the number of accidents and deaths. We say that if people drive properly and obey the law, they will just arrive at their destination faster, as opposed to causing or being involved in an accident - Germany is a very advanced and civilized nation, yet they have stretches of highway with no speed limits whatsoever.
