When it comes to testing brand new cars, prototypes, one needs to be very careful as we’re talking about extremely expensive vehicles most of us can’t afford. Unfortunately, one particular test driver from Germany had his luck run out on him.
In case you were wondering whether he crashed the car, the answer is “yes.” And you won’t believe what car he managed to destroy. We’re talking about a BMW i8 prototype, a gorgeous vehicle worth well over EUR 100,000, the man drove into a barrier.

Of course he didn’t do it on purpose, the main cause of the accident being a combination of slippery road and excessive speed, according to local police. Due to this unfortunate mix, the 30-year -old driver couldn’t handle the i8 anymore and crashed it on the A92 near Freising in Germany.

After the crash, it appears the car suffered some extensive wheels and suspension damages that will surely cost quite a lot to fix. Thank god the i8 had insurance as it would have been one terrible day for the driver.
