Teen Driver Almost Crashes BMW M3 while Trying to Drift-Leave Car Meet in Idaho

Yes, this is apparently a surprise for the teenage driver of the E93 M3 in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page. The young one goes for the classic "leaving a car meet" video, but manages to end up replacing the Mustang cliche with the M Division vehicle.

We can see the teen pulling an attention-worthy slip angle as he leaves the event, but pulls the oldest rookie sliding mistake in the book, overcorrecting the maneuver - the M3 had been taken to the Cars and Coffee in Boise, Idaho, a gathering that took place over the weekend.

The driver once again fails to keep up with what the Bimmer is doing once the M3 Convertible goes sliding the other way, showing overly slow countersteering reflexes - to get things straight, we're not playing the Captain Obvious role by talking about poor driving reflexes of a beginner. Instead, we hope the mistakes seen here can serve as a free driving lesson to others.

Speaking of which, this teenager got away with his failed show-off stunt. While the E93 M3 did spin dangerously close to a Jeep coming the other way, sheer luck determined the two cars to take different paths. So yes, this is a car meet episode that could've ended much worse, especially if we take into account the fact that the M3 was loaded with passengers at the time of the spin.

As for the soundtrack of the adventure, anybody familiar with this type of clips can probably tell what's going on without even watching the action. However, we wouldn't recommend watching this clip blindfolded, as you'll be left waiting for the usual ka-bang ending.
