Dorna Sports has confirmed the entry of Team Hero EBR in the 2014 World Superbike Championship.
The new team switches from the AMA Superbike series and will field a two-rider line-up, with Geoff May and Aaron Yates aboard WSBK-spec 1190RX machinery.

Geoff May has been riding EBR bikes during the past two years, whereas Yates has more than 20 years of motorcycle racing experience. He teamed up with EBR in the AMA in 2013 and finished 8th overall, one point ahead of May.

The Team Hero EBR will be run by team owner Claudio Quintarelli, and Giulio Bardi, team manager. The goals for the 2014 WSBK are focused more on learning about the series and trying to figure the most successful ways to make the bikes better.

“Nobody is expecting podiums, but we will be hard at work, learning and improving. We are confident EBR will bring a fun and exciting story to the series, and know the results will come,” Hero EBR officials told insidemtorcycles.

Indian manufacturer Hero, which own a minority of EBR is delighted to be connected with the WSBK for the first time.
