Takuma Sato Helps Promote iRacing Simulators

Some two months ago, announced it has partnered with Interush to expand its online motorsport simulations gaming program into markets like Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. Now, the company revealed that Japanese race car driver Takuma Sato will also be helping it promote the racing simulators in the respective markets.

This year, Takuma Sato crossed over from the International Formula One Series to drive in the IZOD IndyCar Series.

"Takuma Sato is a great role model for aspiring racers,"
Marty Matthews, Interush Chairman, said in a release. "We know that Japanese race fans really admire his determination and success and will continue to follow his progress in the exciting IZOD IndyCar Series."

The Japanese driver is expected to race in all 2010 IndyCar Events, driving the #5 KV Racing Technology entry in the 17-race schedule that includes the Indy500 held this year on May 30. Fans in Japan will get to see Takuma Sato race live at the Twin Ring Motegi course on September 18.

"I am very pleased to be teaming with Interush Racing in their introduction of the very realistic online racing simulation,"
said Takuma Sato. "I know that other IndyCar drivers also use to study the track layouts before the races. As an IZOD IndyCar rookie, I will be using to get to know these tracks better, before I even get out on the actual track. Plus it's a lot of fun at the same time!"

The service is open to racers and fans of all skill levels from top-level pros to complete beginners. It is also extremely popular throughout North America, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is one of its celebrity fans.
