Rat bikes have a class of their own, and the principles which govern "beauty" among these motorcycles are...different, to say the least. Some adore this kind of alternative styling while some really hate it and it's clear that rat bikes aren't for everybody.
With some owners almost ratting their bikes on an almost involuntary basis, by juts neglecting them utterly, others craft great-looking machines. And since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or even beerholder in case you attend a rat bike rally, here's the Swamp Rat, a Honda VFR of unknown age, yet with a striking design we instantly loved.

In case some disaster strikes and plastic is no longer widely available, the Swamp Rat is one of the perfect-design machines adapted for such a period. With the bodywork in welded sheet metal and all rusty, it looks like a prototype version of Captain Nemo's Nautilus.

We doubt that the revised, very short tail and the weight loss that came with it can balance for the weight of the bodywork and we'd like to know the mileage for this heavy beast. And you will definitely not make do with stock brakes...
