Super-SUV Royalty: Three G63 AMGs in Dubai

The G63 AMG is a brand new super-SUV from Mercedes Benz’s AMG division. Production just started last month, and as such it’s really hard to get one right now, no matter how much money you have.
But that’s not a problem when you’re the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and a prime member of the royal family there. We’re talking about Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who owns not one but three G63, with plates numbered “1”, “5” and “11” respectively.

Besides the color of the boy and wheels, there really isn’t that much different between these monsters, so presumably he just like the AMG super-SUVs so much he wanted more than just one.

The all-new G63 AMG is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 544 hp and 60 Nm (560 lb-ft) of peak torque. Despite its hefty size, it will go from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph).

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
