Everybody advises everybody to take their cars to the drag strip, not race them between the lights, when they want to see how fast the rides really are and we are now here to show you what happens when you do that.
An F10 BMW M5 owner in the US took his car to the drag strip and we have to tell you that the results are impressive. The M5 was in full stock condition, managing to pull a 11.78s run at 119 mph (191.6 km/h).
The Sport Plus settings were used for the engine and gearbox, while the suspension was placed in Comfort mode in order to “reduce the amount of tire spin due to weight transfer to the rear”.
The owner also tells us that the Launch Control function is a bit tricky and that he believes he could’ve gotten a slightly better time if he had had time to get used to it.
