If you’re gonna buy yourself a Toyota GT 86 just to modify it later, you can save a lot of money and purchase the most featureless model out there - the striped-down RC version. Unfortunately, it’s available only in Japan and New Zealand, so it won’t make too much of a deal to ship it if you don’t live there.
The GT 86 RC model comes with unpainted front and rear bumpers, mirror casings, and door handles, 16-inch steel wheels and a six-speed manual gearbox available. Inside, you won’t find anything like air conditioning, cup holders, underfloor, boot light and even the plastic intake manifold cover in the engine bay was removed. This resulted in a 132 lbs (60 kg) lighter GT 86 that will be a more suitable choice if you want to go racing on the track.

Just add a lower suspension, a turbocharger and an ECU mod maybe, some nice rims and it will also look a lot more meaner than the other versions. Like this one in the photo gallery bellow. It has a stanced suspension, new Work rims, HKS Racing sparkplugs, Computer Ecutek, a Todoroki air filter and a lot of other goodies.
