The replacement for the 3 Series Coupe models, the new F32 4 Series has stirred the imagination of every BMW fan, especially after the latest commercial was published by BMW Germany on Youtube.
Just today our trusty photographers caught the 4 Series undergoing some tests in the same old icy Scandinavian landscape. Being unveiled for the first time at a Bavarian event and then later on at the Detroit Auto Show in January, the Concept version of the car looked amazing.
The new spyshots show what may be the final shape of the 4 Series, since its debut is scheduled in July this year. It looks different from the Concept, as expected, but these differences are quite noticeable.
First of all the shape of the roof seems to have a bigger arch making the car less sporty looking. We can just assume that this decision was made to accommodate the 6-footers among the BMW customers. Also the taillights seem to have a different shape but that is less visible due to the camouflage that covers the car.
Anyway, the new 4 Series will have a wide array of optional features and the first models that will be delivered to anxious customers will probably be, in the BMW old-fashion way, the 2-liter petrol and 3-liter petrol ones for the US (428i and 435i) and the EU and 2 additional diesel ones for the home continent (the 420d and 430d most probably).
Some new models are expected as well, following closely after the Coupe's launch date. The Convertible will join the Series as will a Gran Coupe version.
