Recent speculations saying the new Mazda6 sedan will debut as early as this year’s Paris Motor Show might prove to be false, as the state this test mule is in proves it’s nowhere near as ready as we think. This vehicle obviously combines the new platform that’s to be used with a chopped up and glued back together body. It’s even got a color mismatched bumper.
Note that the mule obviously has bigger wheel arches. We think that the Mazda6 has a good chance of becoming wider and longer judging by the mule.
The lines of the next Mazda6 will look nothing like this, instead adoption the proportions of the elegant Takeri Concept that was shown at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show last December. The car has been confirmed to use new Skyactiv tech, including a SkyActiv-D Clean diesel engine, the new six-speed automatic transmission, and most likely stop-start as standard.
