Ever since the automotive world heard about Mercedes' plans to build the C-Klasse Coupe, most people started asking questions regarding the design of the future little brother of the E-Klasse Coupe range. Of course, there were no answers provided on an official channel, but we received a bunch of spyshots showing us, more or less, what to expect from the future model.
Since it is based on the sedan, it would be naturally to see some of the features available on the Coupe as well. Judging by the new pack of spyshots we have here, the future C-Klasse Coupe will retain the sedan's front section, as well as the taillights and the rear bumper, but will also come with some new things for the Merc lineup. Not only that it will have a newly-designed center section, but it will also sport brand new rooflines, doors and windows.
What's interesting is that Merc's future 2+2 seater will probably adopt one of the features seen on BMW, namely the so-called Hofmeister-Knick design, but the rear side window is still disguised in our pictures.
Of course, questions still remain when it comes to the engines to be fitted on the future Coupe. Voices familiar with the matter claim that all sedan configurations will make it to the new model as well, including those with four and six cylinders delivering between 156 and 292 horsepower plus diesel units with output in between 136 and 231 horsepower.
Mercedes might also try a different customer approach and offer the new C-Klasse Coupe at a lower price as compared to the sedan, mostly because it will replace the homonymous model in the range, but also because the consumers' financial power has been decreased over the past years.
