Sportec SC 350 VW Scirocco Released

Swiss tuner Sported rolled out was seems to be one of the first customized versions of the new-generation Volkswagen Scirocco, an aftermarket model that sports numerous upgrades including engine performance and exterior styling.

“VW Scirocco is once again becoming an object of great fascination for car tuners. The most recent version is now presented by Swiss HighEnd Tuner Sportec: Among other things, the program consists of a performance optimisation, a sports suspension, elegant rims and other generally enhancing engineering components,” Sportec said in a press statement.

First of all, there's the engine. According to a press statement issued by Sportec, the 2.0-liter gasoline engine which initially produced 200 horsepower comes with several performance optimizations which could boost the maximum output to 350 horsepower. “The gained performance is achieved by the interaction between the engine electronics and a stainless steel exhaust system, a Sportec turbocharger, a charge-air intercooler and the modified fuel system,” the company explained.

The Sportec suspension springs are said to improve the handling the base Scirocco provides by lowering the car by 35 millimeters. They “are also in perfect harmony with the electronically adjustable shock-absorber system DCC,” the tuner said. “The differential lock Sportec has added further enhances the Scirocco's grip by several degrees during racier trip sequences.”

Exterior modifications also include a 20-inch Sportec wheelset that brings lightweight 9x20-inch spoke rims and 245/30 tires.

Interiors have bee modified with 4-part floor mat and several carbon-made components corroborated with a the Sportec logo that differentiates the tuned model from the base Scirocco.

No pricing details are available for the time being.
