Getting stuck in mud on a Russian forrest road has never been more exciting now that the Spintires off-road simulator got launched last month, enabling players to take control of a huge Soviet truck and try to haul different goods over the worst kind terrains possible.
It’s so exciting that over 100,000 Spintires copies have been sold in less than a month, each coming at price of €25 ($34.13 / £19.9), raising Oovee studios an income of over €2,5 million ($3,4 million / £1.9 million) so far.

The game seemed a successful idea even from its project phase that begun on Kickstarter. Back then, Spintires was promising both stunning graphics and an excellent physics engine to bring gamers closer to reality than ever. Just with some videos and a later tech demo, the funding campaign raised over $100,000 (€73,000 / £58,000), almost double than the basic requirement.

Was it worthy? Of course it was, Spintires can be now considered the most advanced off-road simulator ever created. Apart from the stunning graphics and highly detailed vehicles, the game perfectly simulates mud, sand, water, tire deformation (hysteresis), chassis twisting and power distribution on wheels according to their grip.

And that’s not all, as the developer said, more things should be implemented soon, such as animated wildlife, cockpit camera with steering wheel support, probably more vehicles and even a map editor so you can make your own challenges.

Still think the less-than-1GB stuck-your-truck game doesn't deserve your attention? Well, check this short playthrough bellow and see how challenging it is.
