Speedriven Finds Goldilocks Performance for EV12 E-Klasse

With so many companies out there making body kits, wings, wheels and whatever else, it’s easy to forget what tuning is really about: more power! We are now going to bring to your attention a project that delivers on that need in just the right package.

Before going into the details of the project, we are first going to talk about the car that received the mods in question. Despite generally being considered a luxury carmaker, Mercedes tries to cater to everybody, yet some people find the C-Klasse to small and the S-Klasse to big. For them, there can only be one car that provides the Goldilocks body size, and that is the E-Klasse. But what if the car has the right size and the wrong power?

That is where the tuners at Speedriven come into play. They have stuffed the V12-powered version of the car with all the performance goodies they could find. The EV12 benefits from Speedriven’s collection of aftermarket hardware which they say is usually reserved for the bigger S-Klasse, which includes top-mounted water-to-air intercoolers, “scorpion” air intakes, larger fuel injectors, and (of course!) Speedriven’s billet-wheel turbochargers.

“The upgraded machinery is guided by Speedriven ECU and TCU software and generates over 700 rear-wheel horsepower on ALSA’s dyno, which should be plenty of “hot” for the “just right” sized E class. A Brabus appearance package and blacked-out grille complete the look of the car,” Speedriven says.

This Speedriven tuning package includes:
  • SPEEDRIVEN BILLET-WHEEL TURBO UPGRADES
  • SPEEDRIVEN TOP-MOUNTED INTERCOOLERS
  • SPEEDRIVEN SCORPION AIR INTAKES
  • SPEEDRIVEN ECU/TCU UPGRADES
  • SPEEDRIVEN HEAT EXCHANGER
  • JOHNSON CM30 PUMP
