Special Edition Toyota RAV4 Edge Released in Australia

Toyota has just released on the Australian market a RAV4 anniversary edition that marks the SUV’s 15th anniversary on the continent. The RAV4 Edge limited edition comes with $2000 worth of added features, but customers will only pay an extra $750, with prices starting at $34,240 for the five-speed manual transmission model.

The new features include 17-inch alloy wheels (including the spare wheel), reverse-parking sonar sensors, roof rails and privacy glass for the rear, rear-quarter and rear-door windows.

On the inside the RAV4 Edge gains a six-stack sound system with LCD display, Bluetooth telephone and audio streaming capability, USB audio input, premium steering wheel and gearshift knob, front and rear carpet mats and an Edge badge on the rear door.

As for the powertrain, the special edition RAV4 model is equipped with a 2.4-litre petrol engine with variable-valve timing and the choice of five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions.

Other features that were kept from the standard model include vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control, anti-skid brakes and hill-start assist control, while the automatic version is also equipped with downhill assist control.

Safety features include twin front airbags and active front-seat head restraints, designed to reduce the chance of whiplash injury in a rear-end collision. In addition, RAV4 Edge has air-conditioning, cruise control, power-operated windows and mirrors, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, electric power steering and a rear spoiler.

Toyota’s RAV4 Edge model comes in a wide color range, such as Graphite, Silver Pearl, Ebony, Wildfire, Liquid Bronze, and Blue Storm.
