The Songs of Love Foundation accepts donated cars, trucks, recreational vehicles and boats, which are then sold to obtain funds. These funds are then used to produce personalized songs for the children.
Each CD is produced with lyrics containing the child’s name and references to all of his/her favorite activities, things, people or pets. The melodic line is then written and performed in the child’s favorite music style (pop, r&b, rap, rock, alternative, etc.), by various talented musicians.
The Songs of Love Foundation has reached out to nearly 19,000 children in all 50 states in its 12 years of activity. The songs were played to alleviate pain and trauma caused by painful and scary hospital treatments.
The songs seemed to have a positive influence on their recipients, as children played their ‘songs of love’ in all kinds of situations, from car trips to the hospital, to show and tell at school and even for the doctors and nurses. The Songs of Love has received the Best in America seal from Independent Charities of America, which is only given to 2 percent of charities nationwide.
For those who wish to donate their car to support this cause, the foundation informs that it will manage everything to reduce the donors’ efforts. All you have to do is to register here. There is no need for them to personally take the car anywhere, as the foundation comes and picks up the vehicles from the donor’s location, free of charge. A receipt is given for tax deduction purposes.
