SmartNav Now Available on Smart Phones

Trafficmaster announced that its Smartnav Mobile service is now available on all the most popular smartphones including iPhone, Nokia and BlackBerry as well as all Windows-based GPS mobiles. The service means you get satellite navigation and live traffic information service available 24/7 on your personal communication device.

Smartnav Mobile uses real-time traffic data and road speed records to keep drivers on the best available route, at any given time and an immediate alternative is downloaded to the phone if traffic conditions change.

“We are currently developing a range of additional business and travel services for Smartnav Mobile that will complement other applications on all these smartphones. These include our Safe Speed camera alerts; live traffic alerts to incidents or delays and a unique international rescue service, able to help travelers in difficulty across Europe with a locally based, but English-speaking advice and support service,” said John Lawrence, Sales and Marketing Director at Trafficmaster in a release.

“Future development plans also include Smartnav Mobile services providing easy access to information on flights, public transport and major events as well as destination details such as local fuel prices; nearest ATMs or hotels and our On Demand Business Mileage reporting system,”
Lawrence added.

The Smartnav Mobile software is available to download from here, with a no obligation 30-day free trial. After that you can take out a monthly or annual subscription. Subscription charges are £3.99 per month or £24.99 per year. Personal Assistant calls cost up to 59p per minute.
