Skoda Announces Greenline II Pricing

Starting this November, the Fabia Wagon GreenLine and Roomster GreenLine will join the Fabia, Yeti, Octavia, Superb and Superb Wagon models in Skoda's European lineup, while in January 2011 it will be the turn of the Octavia Combi GreenLine to do that.

According to Skoda, the Yeti will be the best selling model of the GreenLine range, with an expected 78% of the overall sales. The Yeti GreenLine is offered with a 1.6 TDI engine with 105 hp (77 kW), while achieving an average fuel consumption of just 4,6 l/100 km (51.1 mpg) and emitting 119 g/km of CO2. Prices range from EUR21,900 ($30,562) to EUR24,800 ($34,607) for the “Experience” trim level.

The same engine is used in the Octavia, ensuring a fuel consumption of 3,8 l/100km (62 mpg) and 99 g/km, while setting you back some EUR21,450 ($29,885). In turn, the Octavia Wagon GreenLine will come with a fuel economy of 4,2 l/100km (56 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 109 g/km, in exchange of 22,350 Euro ($31,143).

The Fabia GreenLine and Fabia Wagon Green Line will receive a 1.2 TDI engine with 75 hp that only eats up 4.2l/100 km (56 mpg) and 109 g/km of CO2. Prices start at EUR14,700 ($20,479) for the regular model and EUR15,330 ($21,358) for the Wagon.

The new generation of GreenLine engines comply with the EU 5 emission standards for diesel engines that have stricter regulations for nitrogen oxides and solid particles. The second generation comes as standard with extra equipment than the models it replaces, such as cruise control, ESP and tire pressure monitor (TPM). All the models will have a Start-Stop system option, as well as 6-speed manual transmission. Energy saving devices also include new mapping for the engine, regenerative braking, aerodynamic changes, tires with low rolling resistance and and indicator for optimal gear changes.
