The new M5 managed to improve what was thought to be perfect. The E60 M5, with its V10 S85 engine set a pretty high bar, performance-wise. However, even though the F10 is faster, more powerful and, overall better, there is one aspect everyone seems to be complaining about: the exhaust note.
That's why most M5 owners decide to replace the stock system with an aftermarket solution, as soon as they receive the new car. That was the case with a Silverstone F10 M5 that rolled into European Auto Source's garage a couple of days ago.
In order to do justice to the V8 S63 engine Eisenmann created 2 exhaust systems to fit every need. The Sport system has a lower, growlier tune, more fitting for cruises and a Race version that brings out the hardcore sound of racetrack cars from the 4.4-liter unit under the bonnet.
This owner went hardcore and the guys from EAS installed the stainless steel exhaust in a couple of hours. The finished product is a totally different car, with a renewed sound and enhanced performance.
