Sidecar motorcycles are extremely fun, but they also come with some downsides.
Aside from the significantly lower speed, the biggest negative impact is on steering, and this can sometimes mean major trouble. While extremely nimble and easy to maneuver at low speed, sidecar bikes quickly become really dangerous as speed builds up.
Judging by the trucks on the road, we could assume that this video was shot somewhere in the former Soviet countries. It's also there where sidecar bikes such as Dnepr or the better-known Ural come from and are extremely popular.
However, the location has little to no role at all in the development of this crash: the rider was simply driving a bit too fast for his own safety and failed to turn, ending up in a head-on crash with the camera car. Despite him not wearing a helmet, it looks like both him and the car driver managed to slow down just enough to make this only funny, instead of gruesome.
