Sheryl Crow auctioned her 1959 Mercedes SL for charity in order to help the tornado-affected schools in Joplin, Missouri, managing to raise $260,000 for the cause, as Reuters writes.
The classic open-air Mercedes went under the hammer in August, being bought by a couple who wanted to remain anonymous. The two payed $130,000 for the car and chose to donate another $130,000 for the cause. The singer also offers the generous couple one of her Gibson guitars.
