Ever dreamed about riding a smarter bike which can analyze, store and share multiple types of data collected as you ride? Scorpio Ride is the answer you’ve been looking for: a smart way to make your bike smarter and enjoy your passion for motorcycling even more.
The Scorpio Ride install easily on your bike, and hooking it to the machine is as simple as plugging in some connectors. The Ride integrates with your smartphone (Apple and Android) and acts as a monitoring system for a ton of various parameters. This includes, but is not limited to battery status, service intervals, tire pressure (with optional valves) and current location for spotting your machine after a walk in the forest or so.

Real-time info is also provided, as the Scorpio acts as a telemetry module. You get speed, direction and route progress on the phone map. It will also store rides and you can share them over social networks. Even more, the Ride module acts as an alarm, and can send alerts in case it detects that your bike is moving when it shouldn’t be moving, as in pushed, lifted and the like. An optional perimeter sensor is also available.

Now, the fun part is that the Scorpio Ride needs a working data plan, and this could be a price some riders will not gladly pay. The module itself is $219 (€156), a remote is $90 (€65), with the security kit available for $109 (€78) and tire pressure sensors for $79 (€57) a pair. Now choose your data plan and see if the whole business works for you. And be careful with sharing those speeding rides…
