Schuberth GmbH, manufacturer of the world-famous Schuberth helmets, changed hands.
The company's majority stack was owned by affiliate of Susquehanna International Group (SIG), a private investment and trading group based in Philadelphia, and which now retains only a minority stake.
He new owner of Schuberth Helmets is Perusa Fund, a privately owned “portfolio” investment fund, too, based in Munich and the Guernsey Islands.
Perusa officials declared that the new owners are looking forward to a future of active involvement in the growth and development of the brand, from "internationalization and innovation to productivity improvements and financing structure."
The move is seen as a great opportunity for Schuberth to retain the premium quality of their "Made in Germany" products and be competitive with other brands, especially those whose products are manufactured in low-wage Asian countries.
