Saab Design Concept Teaser Leaked

Swedish manufacturer Saab, currently caught up with launching the biggest model offensive in its history, is also gearing up for the Geneva Auto Show, the March event which is hoped will shed some light on how exactly the auto maker plans its expansion. Saab already confirmed that the Geneva Auto Show will be the place where the SportCombi version of the 9-5 will be presented. Building on the successful 9-5 line, the wagon brings a bit of fresh air to the Saab lineup. But, with Geneva being Europe's first and this year's most important auto show, Saab needs more than the 9-5 SportCombi to impress the crowds. And, if we are to judge by the available information, the 9-5 SportCombi will not be the only strong point of the auto maker at the show. According to SaabUnited, on the cover of the invitation the car maker sent to its closest partners there is a covered image of a possible hatchback model called Saab Design Concept (the car in the back of the teaser). By accounts, the concept is said to preview the next generation 9-3. The information on the car is very limited at this point, but more is expected to be unveiled in the coming days. As for the other cars pictured in the invitation, the first is most likely the SportCombi we mentioned earlier, while the other two are said to be the Saab 9-3 Independence Edition convertible and the Griffin Edition Saab 9-3, also premieres. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
