Saab Debuts New Special Section on Facebook

Needless to say, social media has become crucial in today’s marketing strategies, with all carmakers having their own Facebook, Twitter or YouTube accounts. So is the case of Saab, the reborn Swedish brand recently bought by Spyker Cars, who has had its own special dedicated Facebook page for quite some time now.

Growing in popularity thanks to the newly introduced Saab 9-5 model, the brand announced today it has launched a special section on the respective page for all the Saab clubs and enthusiasts.

In this section there is a dedicated directory which contains information that can continuously be updated about clubs, enthusiasts and events from all over the world. According to the carmaker, the organizations and events presented on this page are not carried out by Saab itself but by the fans of Saab Automobile.

“Over the years Saab as a car brand have developed a strong relationship with the Saab owners. Enthusiasts are organized in local clubs that share information about new and old car models with a true passion for Saab. The clubs also arrange club meetings both national and international. By using Saab's facebook page as a global "lounge" the clubs and enthusiasts will get a digital platform where they can share information,” the manufacturer says in a statement.

Upcoming events are presented on a map and by using the event directory you will be able to find local and international Saab related events. You can use the map to see if there's anything going on in your area. By using the clubs directory and segmenting your search you might find clubs and enthusiasts with the same type of Saab interest as you.
