Russian Truck Driver Ignores Low Bridge

Driving a truck, aside from the considerably larger ‘footprint’ it leaves, also requires special attention to their tall height. This isn’t really an issue, however, as most truck drivers are aware of this fact and avoid low underpasses or bridges, calculating their route in such a way that they go around the obstacle.
Not this Russian driver, who has no trouble whatsoever in driving his truck straight under a noticeably low bridge, despite it having a bar, just ahead of the bridge, which should warn inattentive drivers of the incoming low spot. The trailer smashes into the bridge, and gets badly damaged, though not completely destroyed.

It is also important to notice and be aware of this aspect of truck driving, even if you are not a truck driver, as debris from such accidents can seriously damage cars driving in close proximity. The moral? If you do see a truck which is heading for a bridge you think is unable to clear, back off and give it some space.
