Russian Girl Tests Volvo City Safety

Volvo has fitted its XC60 with their new and advanced CitySafety system which detects (among other things) pedestrians. At first it warns the driver, and if he or she doesn’t react, the car will automatically brake.
Thankfully for the girl in this video, the car she decided to run in front of was an XC60 and the system did its job very well, despite the fact that the driver wasn’t really carrying any speed. The car stops suddenly, in a similar manner to that in which the car stopped when Volvo first demonstrated the system, before the launch of the XC60.

It is also strange how the universe works. So many cars passed by the crosswalk and the girl decided to jump in front of the only car which could not have hit her - we found it quite odd and not easily dismissible as a coincidence.
