When you’re Rolls-Royce, you simply don’t release facelifts. Instead, you come with mild refreshes, so that that existing customers don’t feel left behind. The Phantom has gone through this process last year and now it seems that it is the Ghost’s time.
Rolls-Royce has now released a teaser image for what appears to be the Ghost Series II. Goodwood didn’t offer too many explanations, only coming up with a rather brief statement: “After five years as the cornerstone of Rolls-Royce's sustainable growth success worldwide, this mid-life update is a showcase for the most recent technological advances from Rolls-Royce enrobed in a considered exterior design revision."
In other words, the visual changes coming on top of the tech ones will be barely visible, especially from the distance.
It’s interesting how the Phantom has to wait nine years for its mid-cycle refresh, while the Ghost now receives this after four years, which represents the normal period for a revamp. Regardless of that, we’ll get into the depths of this story at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
We’ll remind you that the Ghost got crafted into a coupe form last year, with the result bearing the Wraith name. Even more recently, Rolls-Royce released the Ghost V Specification, which gets some sporty inspiration from the coupe. Looks like the Ghost is keeping the Brits pretty busy these days.
