If you’ve ever wanted to have the steering wheel stitching in the color of your girlfriend’s eyes when purschasing a new Lamborghini, then the company’s Ad Personam program is definitely for you. Luckily, Lamborghini is updating its personalization scheme, with this set to be its trick for the Geneva Motor Show 2014.
The expanded range of options is set to debut on the Aventador, but the Italians promise it will be expanded to the Huracan soon.
It all starts with... you guessed it... carbon fiber. However, we’re not talking about any kind of carbon fiber, as we are dealing with Forged Composite here. This is a Lamborghini-patented material, which somehow reminds us of the materials they use for bowling balls.
Moreover, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam comes with extra color combinations for the passenger compartment. The hue play arrives for the leather and Alcantara surfaces, as well as for the floor mats and seatbelts. The scheme also comes with fresh two-tone exterior schemes, as well as new liveries.
Lamborghini will be showcasing a special Aventador Roadster in Geneva. The car, which you can see in the adjacent images, will use Forged Composite for the hardtop, exterior details, as well as for the cabin.
To be more specific, we’ll see the new material on the Aventador Roadster’s front apron, air intakes, rear spoiler, as well as inside, o nthe door entry sills, instrument binnacle cover, infotainment controls and center console display surround.
Oh and if you’ve noticed the new color of the supercar, you have to know this is called Blue Sideris (some sort of Shimmering Blue). It is integrated in a Y-shaped livery, with the vehicle using Matt Silver instead of Black for the mirrors and engine hood.
Lamborghini is so serious about its refreshed personalization program that the company will introduce the Ad Personam Studio in Geneva. Thus, we’ll receive a completely functional design studio that will allow customers to fully configure their Aventador. Expect the site to be fully gifted with goodies such as material samples, color samples, as well as a configurator that will show the changes on the finished model.
This mirrors the customization play Lamborghini offers its customers at the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese. Lambo politely explains that not any color combo is possible: “a dedicated specialist who ensures that the vehicle produced is not only unique, but fits in with the Lamborghini brand and traditions.” So, for instance, Paris Hilton shouldn’t expect a Pink Lambo to come out of the factory too soon.
