Remember the jedi mind trick where Obi one convinces some storm troopers that “these are not the droids you’re looking for”? Well it looks like the force is strong with Mercedes, as according to a recent AutoCar report, the test mule version of what was supposed to be the upcoming hot B-Class... isn’t.
Apparently, there won’t be a hot ‘B-Class, because “it is not suitable for traditional AMG customers." The car we saw is meant as a test platform for the A25 AMG, which has a much sportier body. The same 2.0-liter twin-scroll direct-injected unit will also be dropped into the baby four-door coupe, the upcoming CLC25 AMG, which also uses the same platform.

The 320 or so horsepower will be sent to all four wheels via a Haldex-style four-wheel drive system and a dual-clutch transmission. But who knows, this might actually be the B25 AMG we are looking for, and they’re pulling a fast one on us.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
