If you liked how the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept looked like as a roadster, you’ll probably love how it looks like as a Coupe. Don’t get us wrong, we like the open-top version just as much as you do but we did find that fin at the back a little peculiar.
Now, the guys from RM.Design got involved and they wanted to go the way of the Jaguar F-Type which was initially launched as a roadster and then as a Coupe and not the other way around as most manufacturers do.

Thinking about a Coupe Superleggera gave them nightmares and they couldn’t sleep until seeing how such a car would actually look like. Well... It’s pretty impressive...

Actually, in this shape, you can get to see the British DNA a little better on this concept, really coming close to the Jaguar we mentioned earlier.

The Union Jack flag inspired taillights at the back and the sloping roofline combined with the racing green used for the bodywork immediately remind us of the United Kingdom and its early racing days. Furthermore, the driving position was moved to the right, keeping in touch with the ‘special’ rules that apply to motorists on the Island.

Last, but not least, no less than four tailpipes were added to the rear bumper, even though the concept introduced at Villa d’Este was an electric car, more in tune with today’s struggle to keep CO2 emissions in control.

Looking over how good this thing looks, we’re inclined to say that MINI should definitely build this version instead of the roadster, if the rumors come true. Priced at around €35,000 it would be an absolute steal.
