Renault Shows Off Aerodynamic Truck Concept CX/03

Since Renault Trucks recently announced a major revamp of their entire range of vehicles, it was only natural that they had to show something which previews what they have in store. Meet the CX/03 concept, an ultra-modern aerodynamic truck concept which is far more advanced than anything we’ve ever seen before.
It features active areo, with various fins and panels which move and alter the air flow, in order to reduce its drag coefficient. It features a tubular structure, made of carbon fiber and aluminium, and features a panel which slides down (on the very front), while the truck is traveling at speed, to further reduce its air resistance.

However, the aerodynamic wizardry would be all-but useless, if the trailer it would eventually tow (it is still just a 3D model), would be of an old fashioned (and inefficient) design. It’s not though, and it features covered rear wheels, as well as an aerodynamic teardrop shape.
