I don't know about you guys, but before today, I never heard of a chocolate desert called a ganache. Apparently, it's a French specialty made up of a glazing, icing, sauce or filling. Supposedly, the delicacy is sweet and delicious, just what you want to get for your girlfriend on Valentine's.
And if you have deep pockets and really love your girlfriend, why not get her a chocolate-themed car on February 14th. Such a thing is available in Japan, where Valentine's Day is one of the biggest events of the whole year (weird, right?). Renault is launching a small production run of only 100 units of this - the "Lutecia Ganache".

Essentially, this is just the average Clio 4 hatchback with a new color called "Marron Aldan", which is supposed to give you "the bittersweet taste of chocolate you get at the beginning of love". Matched to the bodywork is an interior coated in black and brown accents for the dash and seats. There, a new Pioneer 2DIN SD card-driven navigation system can also be seen.

As we've mentioned, only 100 units of the Lutecia Ganache will be built and sold, all equipped with silver 17-inch wheels and costing 2,448,000 Japanese yen. That's equivalent to €17,840, which is a lot, but in return you get a standard 120 hp 1.2-liter turbo engine and a six-speed EDC gearbox. That's essentially the best non-RS engine you can get, so it's not such a bad deal.

If you live in Japan and your significant other loves all things French, including chocolate, this might be the perfect gift. If she doesn't like the build quality, you can always tell her it was made by Umpa-Lumpas.
