Besides the odd character from the Simpsons, clown doctors are usually actual doctors who attend child patients with special needs. This is supposed to make the little ones feel more at home in the hospital.
What does that have to do with the automotive world? Usually nothing, but as this bizarre picture proves, today is an exception. Kia Motors Manufacturing Slovakia has built its 1 millionth car, and as you can see some strange people are riding in it. That’s because the diesel cee’d SW has been donated to a Slovakian children’s charity – the Red Nose Clowndoctors.

“We decided to donate it to an organization which will bring pleasure to children during their stay in hospitals,” said Eek-Hee Lee, President and CEO of Kia Motors Slovakia.

Kia Motors Slovakia launched a third shift this year and increased the number of employees to 3,900. That’s because they had to cope with a 10% increase in car production and a 12% increase in engine production during 2011, when it produced more than 252,000 cars and 359,000 engines.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
