Red Bull Racing Signs Multi-Year Deal with LG

Red Bull Racing have just confirmed a new partnership in Formula One. Only hours before the official start of the 2010 German Grand Prix, at Hockenheim, the Milton Keynes based team announced that LG has become their new Team and Technology Partner.

As part of the deal, LG will supply Red Bull Racing with its latest products at the track and Milton Keynes headquarters and its logo will appear on the RB6 as well as the team kit. To be more precise, the Korean company's logo will appear in three places on the Red Bull RB6, while also on the helmets and overalls of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel.

Neither of the two parties mentioned the period of time for which the contract has been signed, but we do know that the deal is multi-year.

LG Electronics is an extremely innovative company which aligns well with the creative innovation demonstrated within Red Bull Racing. This partnership shows Red Bull’s appeal to like-minded partners and signifies the progress the team has made in the short space of time to attract premium brands like LG,” said the team boss Christian Horner in the press conference.

It is thrilling to see two of the world’s leading innovation brands – LG Electronics and Red Bull Racing – come together as Formula One partners. ‘Life’s Good’ is an expression both LG and Red Bull Racing bring to life every day, by using technology to deliver emotional and exciting experiences to the millions of people who watch Formula One worldwide,” added Dermot Boden, Chief Marketing Officer for LG Electronics.

The press conference was held in the Energy Station earlier this morning.
