For the first time in a long time I finally get to look at a beautiful BMW in China. I’m talking about a simple, red Z3 Roadster, a car that’s on its way to becoming a classic thanks to its limited numbers.
It’s not that BMW built it in small numbers on purpose but the Z3 model was discontinued after only one generation, being replaced by the E85 Z4 later on.

The special character of this spotting comes from the fact that the Z3 was never officially imported to China therefore it’s absolutely rare to see one in the communist country.

Taking a careful look, we noticed that this particular one is a facelift model (built after 2000) and, most likely, comes from the US, judging by the side reflectors on the front bumper. Fortunately, it wasn’t ruined yet by all sorts of golden of chrome wraps or silly wings on the boot lid. Let’s hope it will stay this way.
